It’s true it has been One whole year since the Brewing up Cocktails series of events combining beer & spirits debuted at The Hop & Vine last July during Oregon Craft Beer Month. Founded by the H & V’s own Yetta Vorobik & mixologists & writers Ezra Johnson-Greenough (of The New School) & Jacob Grier (of Bols Genever & Kopstootje!).
For the 1st Anniversary we have planned something special, a huge Tiki style bash in our backyard featuring an honest to goodness Pig Roast, an outdoor Thatched Tiki Bar, Tiki torches & tons of cool tropical themed drinks individually priced.
Please join us to celebrate Brewing up Cocktails 1 Year Anniversary and party while there is still great summer weather on Saturday July 30th from 6-10pm!

Cinco de Mayo
Thursday May 5th Kicks off at 4pm
Join Brian from Stillwater Artisanal Ales (Rated #2 Best New Brewery by Rate Beer) for their first trip to Oregon for an original Cinco de Mayo beer tasting and pairing event Saison & Taco’s. We will be pouring 2 of his unique collaborations, one with Mr. Mikkeller, himself. And to mix it up we will have some spicy pork & fish taco’s to pleasure your palate…. rumor has it that their will be ceviche as well.
of Love & Regret
For the first edition of the Stillwater Import Series I traveled to the village of Beerzel, located in the Antwerp province of Belgium. Here I teamed up with brewmaster Jef Goetelen to craft an authentic Belgian version of my liquid interpretation of the Spring season. A recipe originally contrived a few years prior as a collaboration brew with my good friend Paul Kretzer. The base is German barley & wheat, with a touch of Belgian aromatic; accented with grassy hops and an array of spring botanicals (heather, chamomile, lavender, & dandelion). Like a fresh meadow in spring.
Stillwater / Mikkeller – Two Gypsies ‘Our Side’
Mikkel and Brian are two of the world’s most unconventional brewers. By designing beers at various breweries around the globe, they have found the freedom to experiment and innovate, resulting in unique beers that often blur the lines of definition. After having met at a festival in Bodegraven, NL the two realized that their first creations both were called Stateside. It was then an obvious decision to make the two recipes into a new product, packed full of piney, resinous hops, and backed by the esters of a farmhouse yeast strain.
